Bird of the Week: The Red Crowned Crane

Hello, Reader. It's a new week, a week full of possibilities, and somehow we both ended up here. It's somewhat depressing, yet somewhat comforting. Reader, the start of a fresh week can be daunting and I know what you're thinking, "Why should we even mark weeks on a calendar if they're all just going to blend together? Why do I get out of bed to do the same shit every single day? Is this mundane routine causing the divide between me and my wife, or do I just hate my wife?" and Reader, these are all valid questions, but it's not my place to answer any of those questions for you. I'm just the guy who writes about birds, so without anymore ado, let's get into it.

This week's bird is the Red Crowned Crane. It's easy to identify by it's red crown and also because it's a crane. I would say it looks fairly majestic, but I'm open to other adjectives. These guys, similar to our senior writer Jason, will eat just about anything. Rice, small birds, lizards, snails, crabs, just about anything they can get their beaks on. I'm not sure if they'll eat a human, but it's always best to keep your distance.

Thank you for checking out the Bird of The Week! I love you, Reader.
